A cruise from Los Angeles leaves from San Pedro or Long Beach, and the two ports have separate parking, so confirm your terminal before anything else.

How much is cruise parking in Los Angeles?

Parking at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro had a posted daily maximum of $23 on 1 November 2026, on the page of the operator, Parking Concepts Inc. The first hour is free and each hour after that is $2. Carnival, which runs the Long Beach terminal, publishes no rate on its own page. The city's visitor bureau listed $23 a day there, and it is not the operator.

How much is cruise parking in San Pedro?

Cruise parking in San Pedro cost up to $23 a day for a standard vehicle and up to $40 for an oversized one on the Port of Los Angeles cruise page on 1 November 2026. The operator's page shows the same $23. Four pages from the operator and the Port give a figure, and they do not all match:

SourceDaily maximumDate
Parking Concepts lot page$23Read 1 November 2026
Port of Los Angeles cruise page$23 standard, $40 oversizedRead 1 November 2026
Port Tariff No. 4, Section 13$24 from 1 January 2026, $40 oversizedIn effect from 7 June 2025
Port FAQ on lawaterfront.org$22Page refers to the 2025 season

We use $23 because the operator and the Port's cruise page agree on it. The tariff says charges shall not exceed its maximum, so $24 is a ceiling and $23 sits under it. Neither page explains the gap, so budget for $24 if you want a margin. The tariff says its rates include the City of Los Angeles parking occupancy tax.

The tariff treats buses, trucks, recreational vehicles and any vehicle or trailer taking up more than one marked stall as oversized. Under the tariff we read on 1 November 2026, those pay $4 an hour up to the $40 maximum.

What does cruise parking in San Pedro cost for a 3, 5 or 7-night cruise?

A 7-night cruise comes to $161 at the $23 posted on 1 November 2026, or $168 at the $24 tariff ceiling. These totals are our own arithmetic, not a published price, with one daily maximum for each night.

Cruise lengthAt $23 a dayAt $24 a dayOversized at $40 a day
3 nights$69$72$120
4 nights$92$96$160
5 nights$115$120$200
7 nights$161$168$280
10 nights$230$240$400
14 nights$322$336$560

The tariff counts the maximum per 24-hour day and charges by the hour or part of an hour. At the rates on 1 November 2026, a stay that runs past a whole number of days can add a few hours at $2 each, or $4 for an oversized vehicle.

Where do you park at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro?

Park in one of three lots managed by Parking Concepts, and the same rates apply at all three. Use the cruise terminal lot first, because the Port labels the Catalina lot as cruise overflow.

LotEntrancePort's description

Catalina Sea and Air Terminal, Berth 95, 100 Swinford StreetSwinford Street off Harbor Boulevard, drive straightCatalina Express passengers and cruise overflow

The Port says Parking Concepts runs 2,560 secured overnight spaces. Its February 2025 board report says users of the Catalina lot get shade from solar panels over the carports.

That report also counts about 3,600 unsecured free spaces on Port land and says cruise passengers are less likely to use them. It does not say you can leave a car there for a cruise, so we would not plan on it.

If your ship is at Berth 46 in the Outer Harbor, we found no current page saying where you park. Ask your cruise line.

Do you need a reservation for San Pedro cruise parking?

No. The Port's FAQ says no reservation is required, though that page refers to the 2025 season. Parking Concepts calls the World Cruise Center lot a pay-on-exit facility. Its page title says "Reserve Now!", but we found no booking form on the page.

The Port's FAQ lists cash, traveler's checks and debit or credit cards. Parking Concepts lists the lot as open 24 hours, 7 days a week. For questions, call (310) 547-4357, or call (949) 978-0665 and press 2 for a live agent during business hours.

Is there a shuttle from the San Pedro cruise parking lots?

Yes. The Port lists courtesy shuttles between the terminal and the parking lot, and its FAQ says they are free on scheduled ship days. It recommends dropping passengers and luggage at the front of the terminal before you park, then taking the shuttle back.

Is there a height limit at San Pedro cruise parking?

We found no published height limit for the San Pedro lots. Parking Concepts lists the lot as oversize vehicle friendly, and the tariff has a rate for oversized vehicles. If you are bringing an RV or a tall van, call before you drive.

Is there accessible cruise parking in San Pedro?

Yes. Parking Concepts lists the World Cruise Center lot as handicap accessible, and the Port's FAQ says its shuttles are ADA and wheelchair accessible. We found no published count of accessible spaces and no separate rate.

Where do you park at the Long Beach cruise terminal?

Park at the terminal's garage unless Carnival's emails send you elsewhere. Carnival says cruise terminal parking is limited and that off-site parking has been secured for certain sailings. It tells guests to read their emails to find out whether off-site parking is mandatory for their voyage, and to consider transportation that does not need parking.

The City of Long Beach's 2019 notice for the terminal project describes an existing parking garage, which Carnival proposed to expand. We found nothing confirming whether that work was built.

How much is cruise parking in Long Beach?

Visit Long Beach, the city's visitor bureau, listed $23 per day on 1 November 2026, with the first 30 minutes free, $4 for 31 to 59 minutes and $8 for 1 to 2 hours. It says rates can change. That is the only figure we can attribute, and the bureau is not the operator: Carnival runs the terminal, and its terminal and parking help page gave no rate on that date.

The bureau also gives a 7 foot garage height limit, and says vehicles using more than one space cannot park in the garage. Confirm the rate, the height limit and payment with Carnival on 1-800-327-9501 before you drive, especially with a tall or oversized vehicle.

We also found no published detail from Carnival on accessible spaces in Long Beach, so raise that on the same call.

What about private cruise parking near San Pedro and Long Beach?

This guide lists terminal parking only. We looked for private lots with a cruise rate on the operator's own page and could not confirm one on 1 November 2026, so we name no private lot or price here.

The DoubleTree San Pedro lists a Park, Stay, & Go offer with parking and shuttle service to select cruise ports, with no price on that page. For hotels, see San Pedro and Long Beach.

Does the Vincent Thomas Bridge closure affect cruise parking?

Yes, if you drive between Long Beach and San Pedro. Caltrans closes the bridge at 12:01 am on 7 November 2026 for 16 months, and it aims to reopen in early March 2028. Detours run mainly along I-710, I-110, State Route 103 and Harry Bridges Boulevard.

The Port's FAQ directions from LAX and downtown use I-110 to the Harbor Boulevard exit. I-110 is a detour route too, and a new SR 47 off-ramp at Harbor Boulevard opened on 30 October 2026, so check a live map and allow more time. The terminal guide has the mileage.

Should you drive to a Los Angeles cruise at all?

Drive if you have several people and bags, or live within reach of the port. Parking is priced per vehicle, so it suits a group better than one person, and a long cruise adds up: 14 nights at San Pedro is $322 at the 1 November 2026 rate, by our arithmetic.

At Long Beach, limited parking and possible off-site lots are good reasons to look at other options first. Carnival sells transfers from LAX and Long Beach Airport, and our airport guide compares the ways to reach both ports.
