Where cruises from Los Angeles actually go
Mexico is the most common trip from Los Angeles, from short runs to Ensenada to a week on the Mexican Riviera. Hawaii and the Panama Canal take longer, with several sea days at a stretch, and a few ships head north to Alaska or across the Pacific. The counts on each card come straight from the schedule.

Baja and Ensenada
The short trips that fill this schedule, all year round. Three nights to Ensenada, four with a day on Catalina Island on the way, and five to eight nights that add Cabo San Lucas. Some of those longer trips are sold as Mexican Riviera but turn back at Cabo, so they sit here. Carnival sails most of them from Long Beach, and Royal Caribbean from San Pedro.

Mexican Riviera
A week or so to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, mostly from October to April, with a few in summer. Princess, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Virgin sail 7 nights from San Pedro. Carnival sails 8 nights from Long Beach, with a stop at La Paz.
193 sailings · 7 to 14 nights · from $298.75

Pacific Coast
Two kinds of trip. In April and May, ships heading north for the Alaska season sell the run up the coast to Vancouver, usually 4 to 7 nights with stops such as San Francisco, Astoria and Victoria. Those are one-way, so you need a flight home. Princess also sails round trips to San Francisco, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Ensenada in spring and autumn.
36 sailings · 3 to 12 nights · from $339

Hawaii
Round trips of 14 to 17 nights, leaving between September and April. Carnival sails them from Long Beach and Princess from San Pedro, calling at islands such as Hawaii, Oahu, Maui and Kauai, then at Ensenada on the way home. The islands are a long way out, so expect several days at sea in each direction.
30 sailings · 14 to 17 nights · from $1,074

Panama Canal
One-way voyages, mostly 14 to 20 nights, that end in Florida, with a few going on to Boston or New York. They follow the coast of Mexico and Central America, pass through the canal and finish on the other side of the country, so the flight home is part of the plan. Princess sails the most of them.
25 sailings · 12 to 44 nights · from $1,199

World cruises and other long voyages
World cruises and their segments, sold from here by Princess, Cunard and Viking and mostly leaving in January and February, with a few long trips to Europe and South America. These run from two weeks to five months, and nearly all end far from Los Angeles.
21 sailings · 15 to 152 nights · from $1,244

South Pacific
Long voyages that stop in Hawaii, then carry on to Tahiti, New Zealand or Australia. They run from 17 nights up to 60, and leave mostly between September and February. Nearly all are one-way, so the flight home is part of the cost. Princess and Oceania sail them from San Pedro.
9 sailings · 17 to 60 nights · from $2,199

Alaska
A short list, because most Alaska ships sail from Seattle and Vancouver. From here the trips are long, 10 to 18 nights, in spring and early autumn, and mostly on Princess. They call at places such as Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchikan. Emerald Princess runs 16-night round trips, and most of the others end in Vancouver.
